1. "Replica" = illegal (not that I care... )
2. "Replica" = no crash testing (pedestrian impact, what happens with parts during the crash, how they brake, etc.)
3. "Replica" = no aerodynamic testing at Vmax (risk of parts flying away due to wrong materials, bad connections, etc.)
Am I exaggerating? Au contraire. "Replica" parts (we actually call the FAKES here) have been involved in many nasty incidents over here in Europe. Especially aerodynamic/body kits, rims and suspension parts.
Guys, if you can afford such a car, you can afford the OEM aerokit too. Or for god's sake, at least get some quality part from a well known Tuner like Techart for example. Do yourself a favor, avoid "replica" parts.

997 Newbie, do you work for Prestige Body Kits? It seems that almost all your posts here and at Renntech mention www.prestigebodykits.com. Is this a clever way of getting around the no advertising rules?
Maybe I am just suspicious but you don't even list that you own a 997. You even suggest their products for Cayenne owners over at the Cayenne board.
I suppose you could just be a satisfied customer wanting to spread the joy.
