    Might this be the normal Cayman

    Today on the way from Stuttgart to Zurich I saw a Cayman on the Autobahn. As he had to slow down because of an accident I was able to get close to the car. Although the car was marked as "Cayman S" I recognized the tailpipe which was a single tube in the shape of the hole in the rear bumper. Might I have spotted a test "base Cayman"? I often see test cars on this Autobahn.

    Base Kman will be 2.7 and 250bhp so a plain tailpipe could well be in order - good spot !

    Or just someone who dislikes the double exhaust?
    But I think it makes sense to give the base cayman a single exhaust, just like the difference between the Boxster and Boxster S.

    Well, they probably wouldn't write "Base model Cayman test car" on the back!

    The brakes would be the other difference. Black for the standard and red for the S.

    Might the base Cayman be lacking the center openning in the front facsia perhaps?
