    Interesting HP comparison 964 Turbo and 997 Carrera

    Porsche seems to use old HP numbers on their new models. This could help for future HP guesses.

    964 TURBO 3.3 : 320 HP ; 997 Carrera : 325 HP
    964 TURBO 3.3S : 355 HP ; 997 Carrera S: 355 HP
    964 TURBO Leichtbau: 381 HP ; 997 Carrera S X51: 381 HP

    Intersting, no ?

    Is there a formula?

    LOL... you've discovered Porsche's money-making scheme... they repackage old cars and give them slightly tweaked sheet metal and call it an advancement in technology.

    no, they are kilowatt ratings as converted to HP:)

    I wonder how much % the marketing department is allowed to change on the "engineering HP figure" to make the advertised number remember an previous model, or a competitor's model
