    Car is Finally back need mods!

    Well, I finally got my car back after the headlights were replaced. I live in Miami-Dade County, the capital of the world when it comes to the highest number of Porsche headlights stolen per capita. Anyway, I want to do some mods that won't affect my warranty. i.e. exhaust and air filter. What options are available out there? This board is great and I really appreciate the great feedback I have received here in the past.

    I have a similar car externally, first thing you can start with is replace the amber markers with clear ones

    I have a guy in Miami that will put an alarm on your headlights if interested... BTW, I work at Champion...

    Those clear side markers make the car look SO much better and are one of the least most expensive things your can do. Definitely a must.

    very nice looking 987S! i'm from Miami also but, fortunately i've never had a incident w/ my litronics since i've owned my 2000S since new...sorry to hear of your misfortune.

    Good to hear your car is back... for mods, i've done the clear side markers (they are a most), bought them at the collection for about 24 each. For exhaust, I'm also wanting to change mine, i'm into the cargraphic, tubi, ghl or fabspeed. the best sounding one is the tubi by far, but also the most expensive. Good luck!

    Where can I find more details on the Tubi exhaust? And where the hell is Porsche's PSE for 987?!

    ajcastaneda, for more info on the tubi exhaust go to http://www.championmotorsport.com/vehicles/porsche.htm (you can call them to check updates) or
    http://www.tubistyle.it/default_eng.htm (check on the news part) I heard a cayman with the tubi and it sounded awesome, in my opinion the best sounding exhaust for a porsche. Good luck.

    Why does your right side headlight look like it's not "fitting" flush against the body?

    Unless u simply want a different sound I'd forget about replacing the exhaust(unless you wanna do a large make-over) and leave everything stock.
    It's a waste of money and wont be something you notice at all.
    Clear sidemarkers, perhaps optimize your tires and try some R Compound now that you live in a place that (I believe) has a lot of sunshine.
    R compounds will do more for your cornering speed and overall handling than any exhaust tune-up ever could.
    R compounds may rumble a bit more than regular tires - but you may wanna have a spare set of wheels with the R compounds and then go track the car.

    Youve got a brilliant car - dont fix something that aint broken.
    And remember - the quest for BHPs (if thats what youre after) never ends

    Thanks guys. I agree after having finally driven the car tonight after a full break in. The car rocks. The grip is so much better than my former m3 and the sounds from the flat six at full throttle are amazing. The car will stay stock. Anyway, my wife won't approve of any more automotive expenditures.
