    Radio changed stations

    On my way home the radio all of a sudden just changed stations. I switched it back and about 5 seconds later it did it again. this happened a few more times and then I tried another station and no other changed. It was only #5 switching to #7. I then realized #5 was "Little Red Corvette" (Prince... or whatever he is now) and I really started to wonder. But why to #7? It was Queen's "We Will Rock You." I kept trying and into the next song, it kept on switching. (some Rod Stewart song) So I don't think Porsche programmed the pcm to monitor the music. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

    p.s. I actually preferred the station change but had to try and figure this thing out.

    Try to turn off the weather chennel from the PCM. If you want more details, please do a search on the topic. I believe it was discussed here before. Good luck

    i was told that b/c the radio stations are switching over to digital the stations are jumping for some reason. i also experienced this in a loaner Cayenne while my 997 is in the shop. the service tech told me this. i too am in GA. Go Dawgs.

    That used to happen out here quite frequently. Things must have changed as it doesn't happen anymore.

    I think now that i have decided to keep my car for a little while longer i am going to try the satilite mode using the Cayenne kit.

    same problem... switched from #5 to #6
    both stations had a close frequency so I figures it was due to weather interference??

    There is an easy fix, go to your PCM and undo/uncheck the traffic...something in the menu. I have to look at mine, I had the same problem and I fixed it this way. The reason is that in germany in case of an emergency broadcasting everything will automiatically switch to this radio station to inform you as far as what's going on. For some reason the same thing is happening in the U.S. due to one of the local radio station broadcasting which Porsche is talking to right now.
