    How about an option thread? Post pics of turbo options.

    Does anyone have a pic of option DAD?

    Under Interior Options in Aluminum Look

    DAD "Gear Lever/Handbrake Alu./Lthr" ($1680) VS. ECA Gear/Handbrake Alu Look $995

    DAD - In aluminim: gear lever (partilally; 4.1a) including milled in shift pattern, inlay in handbrake lever (4.3a) with Porsche logo.Smooth leather finish in interior color: (upper section;4.3b). Aluminum look paint finish; handbrake finisher )lower section ;4.3c)

    Does anyone know what this option is all about?

    Stradale, I tried to order that option, but the one i tried was carbon door guards illuminated. I was told that they were not available for my launch car, along with some other options. I also believe that is an exclusive option. To the best of my knowledge, the actual turbo logo, is illuminated by lights under the guard, which gives the turbo look a glow to it when you open the door. I hanve't heard to much about it, but some people who do know a little about it, tell me its really quite cool to see something like this on a P car, and it really sets the car off. If you hear anything let me know, as I'd love to put it on my tt after its delilvered.

    I agree it does sound very cool. In Carbon it would be even nicer. So far I've configured the interior of my car 2 ways. I have plenty of time to decide because I'm waiting for the turbo cab. Love the way carbon fiber looks especially in a black interior. It's one of my favorite things about my CS.

    In one of the pics wonder if this what it looks like but w/ Alum. "500 HP" on the Cayenne

    Stradale, I think if you go to the configurator, and choose the 2d option, it gives you more of a look at the inside, although, I think some options are just not possible to see on the web configurator, as I tried, as I'm shure you have to get a more in-depth look at some of these "rarer" options. And yes I did see that 500 hp, I'm thinking that instead of an LCD type screen as seen on that page, I'm guessing it will be an actual turbo logo thats illuminated (like a turbo logo with the lights under it), rather than an LCD type computer screen that's programed to say turbo. Thats just my guess, and I hope it is the logo, rather than the lcd, as it would look better in my opinion.

    Thanks. I'm feel so stupid. I'm going to "Build your Porsche" then the 2nd option. Then selecting a 4S Cab because I don't see the turbo config. there yet. I go through the options but dont see anywhere to view the interior w/ the options selected like I've seen some guys do here. What am I doing wrong?

    Stradale, Actually i think i might've misled you a bit, appologies mate, I got confused. First, try going to the UK configurator.
    www.porsche.com/uk/carconfigurator
    For some reason, the turbo is not on the US configer yet, but it is selectable on the UK version. Select "build porsche" Then, do the 3d option. Go to options, interior leather etc. I've only done this with carbon, but you do see sublte changes to the 3d cockpit when you select them. Like i said i've only done it with carbon, and it's really hard to make out the big-differences. We should probably go on the web and actually look for images of these options on previous cars to get a better idea. Let me know if this helps bud. Best of luck

    Hi Stradale, maybe this could be DAD.
    But it is possible that the Alu Gear Lever for the Turbo will be different.

    i'm very happy to help stradale, not a problem at all. i'm guessing your looking at all these in order to decide what your going to put in your new car?
