    Windshield repair in Houston?

    Any recommendations on a windshield repair shop in Houston? Caught a golf-ball sized rock on my 996 C4S yesterday; it made a spider-shaped crack about the size of a quarter.

    If I were you I would just change the windshield. It cost about $500 and it is Porsche brand. They come to your house and change it right there.

    I did it and never had any leakage problem or anything.

    I got the number from Jeff Polard at momentum.

    Sorry to hijack the thread here, but since I noticed you both are in Houston, do you know much about the race track in Angleton, south of town? Is it possible to go there as a spectator, or to take one's car there and learn to drive on the track. Are there any 1 time sessions, as opposed to having to join the club, so to speak?

    I'm no sure if we are talking about the same track but if you're refering to the new track that was under construction last year (don't remember the name) you can go there as member guest. There is a membership fee to join around $12k initiation fee and so forth.

    Check this site I think they have programs that does that sort of stuff.

    Thanks Ron...I think it's a track farther down 288 towards Surfside...I saw the website one time...will have to find it again.!
