    C4S boot dimensions?

    Can anyone with a C4S with the DVDNav box in the boot help me out? I am going to pick up my C4S in May and am trying to figure out if the wife's rollerbag will fit in that little deep spot in the front. Can anyone measure it for me or tell me where to go( ) to find that specific info? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hey T:

    It's not very big in there. See photo, attached.

    Max width across the back (at the face of the DVD/NAV box) is 27".

    It's 13" deep from the Nav box face to the front wall.

    Now, 8" back from the Nav box, you're down to just under 26" wide - and that full radius on the front corners will take your width down fast from that point forward...

    It's a "theoretical" measurement - but at the front wall, it's 20.5" wide from the inside tangent points of the two radii.

    Max height is about 19" at the face of the Nav box, down to 14.5" at the front wall - maybe 15" with enough room to shut the hood.

    My Briggs and Riley 22" rollaboard just fits, but it has to sit up against the Nav box. I usually take my 20" Victorinox soft duffle, and it leaves room to stash my computer bag on top.

    For a while there I thought I was going to be on my own. I do appreciate your help Don. My order is at a dealership across the country, so the local dealer has had enough of me or else I would have ventured in with my tape measurer. I could not have asked for a more thorough detailed answer. Thanks for spending the time to help out, looks like the rollerbag stays and the backpacks go!

    Let me know your dimensions and I will take a bag into my dealer and check. (I did this already for my C2S Cab trunk).

    If you're going for the 6 CD changer also, it slots in to take abit more space from the little that is there.

    On the picture above it would fit along the right hand side.
    I'll do some measurements when I get home if you need them.

    Thanks Dan and MBW, but I think I am all set. No Cd changer and it will be a soft packable back that is good for stuffing! Thanks

    No problem, T. I bought my car in Wichita, KS and drove it back to Chicago - 581 miles. It was a spectacular day - and it gave me a big leg up on the break-in miles.

    I'll be interested to hear your mileage on the run home - I got 22mpg average... at 72mph average... so you know that I went a LOT faster at times. <g>

    Be safe. Remember, there's always the "back seat" for soft item storage...
