Not really. It depends on the DCT system and it's speed. I always felt annoyed with the PDK on my former 997.2 GTS and even on my 991.2 GTS. The DCT on my R8 is a completely different story: First DCT I use only in manual mode and I really enjoy it. Had that GT500 with manual for a year but the manual shifting with clutch didn't give me any additional pleasure but it also wasn't annoying (probably because I was never really stuck in traffic for hours ).

If people enjoy their manual, thats fine with me but modern DCT systems can be fun as well.

Not even comparable or close to Porsche's manual precise shifting

Smiley You know that I shift faster in my R8? Smiley Incl. under full load.

That is the car I saw a few weeks back and was not allowed to take pictures off .

It is original from the factory like this . On one side the rims are blue, on the other side they are red . The owner is the guy who sold that very nice Porsche collection we talked about last month .

It is possible that I meet him this spring/summer, so maybe I get the chance to talk to him for a few minutes. Last time, it was only enough for a photo. yes He is very popular in Germany.

Smiley This is exactly what I had in mind but like I said before, WR is very busy and I only caught him once for a longer chat...while I was riding with him in a GT3. Smiley Once on a different occasion, I had the chance to drive with him and a group of people around some pass roads in Austria but we talked maybe twice for half a minute or so when we discussed a curve and some difficulties some drivers had. Also how nice the view was. Smiley Last time, I only took a photo with him, people were waiting in line(!) to take one and we were all there in a group of cars (no public!), so no chance to even start a chat. Smiley

It is possible to "book" WR officially but as far as I remember, a whole day event is 10k EUR or so. Smiley I have his contact, so I could make it happen but this would only be possible if we have a huge Rennteam event with a couple of dozens of (paying) users.

We were thinking about something like that many times before, we also have a direct contact to Adrian Sutil and others but unfortunately these people are not personal friends, so... Smiley
