    Thanks for the compliments, guys. Glad you enjoyed them as much as I did taking them (unlike our dog, which was quite bored as you can tell on the last pic).

    @amazon: The doggy's name depends. If he's behaving well, he's got about 10 different names (like doggy, man, bubi, zipfi, etc.). Only when he's not behaving, we call him by his real name: Cliff. He then knows immediately what time it is.

    @fritz:
    The mountain range in the background are the "Churfirsten". Below them is Lake "Walensee". A really nice region for hiking, about 45 minutes to the east from Zurich towards Chur. Let me know if you need more information on hiking possibilities as I do that quite often myself.

    @Joost: Since you seem to collect pictures, in case you want some of them in the original size, just let me know which ones.

    MattC, beautiful pictures. I was in Switzerland my self last august for my honey moon.. The pictures speak beauty of cars and the country. I went to Geneva, Lusanne, Interlaken, St. Moritz, Luzern and my last stop was Zurich. I'll make sure to visit this area next time I am there

    Thanks for that answer, Matt, as well for the kind offer of infos on hiking possibilities.

    Checking out the map to locate Walensee reminded me that I was driving along the road from Landquart to Sargans when I heard on the radio that Ferry Porsche had died. Funny how one remembers some things like that.

    I can't remember ever having driven past the Walensee or through Walenstadt though, which is a good enough reason to try to do that at the earliest possible opportunity.
