    Baby is on the vessel!

    Just got a call form my dealer and my tt is on the vessel. No idea when it will arrive at port or how long it will be held there. I realize that there is a scheduled July 8th launch, however, my sales person hasn't been given any instructions whether or not he can deliver the car. Anyone with a similar situation?

    LSD
    Sport shifter
    Sport chrono plus
    Porsche crests headrests
    Rear park sensors

    Dumb question: Axle diff. lock and LSD are the same; right?

    So, your dealer's going to have to hold on to your car for 2 months until launch? I'd make sure you record the miles when it arrives.

    At port or at the dealer; either way it will be a very painful waiting period. Kind of like having a beautiful naked woman lying in front of you but all you can do is look at her for two months.
    At least the general manager is a friend of mine. He assured me that the car would not be driven by anyone and would be kept behind a roped section of the showroom floor until delivery.

    A little bit of good news

    PCNA rep in NYC last week said cars will be delivered on June 24. You just saved 2 weeks

    Tell him to leave it off the showroom floor

    behind ropes on the showroom floor just means that anyone who appears serious will be allowed to sit in your car.

    My dealer told me he would not put my car on the floor for fear that someone intentionally or unintentionally would damage it. Is your name on the pro forma invoice?

    It's a small dealership. Given all the choices, I'll have to settle for the showroom floor. The car will be locked. I'm trying to make the best of a less than perfect delivery.
    Yes my name is on the pro forma invoice.
    Two weeks less of a wait; that's great.
