    My new Baby lives. Confirmed built on the 19th...

    How long do you think it will take to get to the UK? I mean it's only 20 miles of open water. and was always an April delivery...

    Might be the best birthday present ever as I'm 38 a week on Monday, but feel like a 5 year old the night before Christmas day...(even got butterflies now)

    I guess I forgot my manners. I Would just like to thank everyone for their time and effort put into this forum. I believe if it hadn't been for this forum I would be Pounds70k better off! For me this last few months has been a blast, the advice from forum members has been invaluable in my selection, advice without which, I doubt I would be buying such a beautiful car today. Thanks again.

    This must be an omen. For the first time this morning when I left home for work (10 mins late) I was welcomed at the end of my road by the black presence of a 997 C2S passing by. The guy driving was grinning, mind you so was I and I wasn't even driving the thing. Then tonight on the way home, waiting at a roundabout a Silver C2S also passed the junction I was waiting at, he also was smiling like a cat that got the cream. Must be a desease or something; as it's infectious cos I was smiling again too.

    Imo , I would leave out the Clear Bra , due to residue build up along the edge , specially on black...

    But ,, many many congratulations bud , may you enjoy in god health..

    Hi ResB... in exactly the same position, mine was confirmed build on 14th....and am yet to hear anything...getting very anxious!

    Great spec BTW, almost identical to mine - same but Seal Grey, -20mm s/s but no dimming lights - other than that identical

    ME TOO!! Just received notice that mine passed Checkpoint 8, today. Now it will sit there waiting for me to arrive so I can celebrate my Bday with let's say.......2500miles in 3 weeks. It is a great feeling isn't it you guys!!?!?!

    Congratulations! Looking forward to the pics.

    I have Basalt in the UK and I really struggle to keep it looking good at the front-winter takes its toll. I decided not to do a clear bra since when I come to trade it the dealers normally paint the front bumper at least anyway due to stone damage, sometimes the bonnet as well and I didn't think it would help the value much. However every time I wash it and find more stone damage I wonder if it was the right decision?? Please let us know what you decide and how it goes.

    So I'm going to get it Zymol'd before this year's flies embed themselves (I can still see traces of last years ) and see how that does in keeping it cosmetically good.

    Thanks John, just what I wanted to hear. I think I'm not going to bother with the clear bra. At least I know where I stand with a stone chip and I don't have to worry about the seams showing and whats happening to the paint underneath the clear film.

    I use Swissol products not because they are any better than Zymol, but the waxes I understand are easier to apply. Having had first hand experience of Swissol I can with hand on heart say that, warm water and a wash cloth just wipes the flies off.

    In terms of photo's, I'll do the full unveiling thing at the dealer and when I arrive home (weather pending) a few photo's of when I've cleaned it. If you don't already , you will get an idea of what Swissol can do then.

    On another note ,does anyone know where to buy genuine Porsche parts in the UK other than the http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/
