Rumor heard about that Basalt Black/Black terracota 997tt

that was at the turbo lounge in NYC and pictures posted here.

According to a friend who is an Audi executive (and his wife who is an automotive journalist), that 997tt was purchased and delivered to Ralph Lauren.

OK Ralph, I know you're reading Rennteam, so how about your giving us your impressions. Don't leave us hanging or we'll stop buying your duds.

saw him picking up his enzo like 2~ years ago at miller motorcars. (greenwh ich ct) hes quite a character.

You would be surprised who reads Rennteam too, found out from a Porsche executive who couldn't keep his mouth shut (he actually didn't know that I was related to Rennteam

I don't know if these people post too or are even "among" us very frequently but if they are, we welcome them.
They made the right choice...regarding the car and of course the forum.

The only "celebrity" I know of for sure is Mike. I hope he doesn't bother that I mention it.
And please don't ask about the others because I don't know if it is appropiate to pass on this information.
Just a hint: the usual "suspects" (US).

Hmmm... Mike Valentine, for one. Most automotive enthusiasts know him.
Then I'd venture to say that Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld probably DO at least read these boards, as hardcore enthusiasts. Anyone else care to make an educated guess?

Im shure seinfeld got exzactly whatever turbo he wanted, with exzactly what options he wanted, delivered (soon if not already) right to this doorstep. He deserves it though, how many porsches is he rumored to have anyways?

No, I don't think it matters, it actually shows that "celebrities" are just like me and you, normal people who maybe succeeded a little bit better in life than others.

Why would it make us proud? Simple: celebreties usually have access to other sources of information, even directly at manufacturers. So if we have "famous" members, it is some sort of "recognition" for our work and yes, I'm proud of it. But don't get me wrong: we are proud of ALL our users because I visit other internet forums too and I have to say I'm impressed with the civilized and sometimes still passionate discussions. And I'm also very grateful to those who contribute to this site with additional information. A real community.

I just wish we were able to meet from time to time, to have some sort of "Club Meeting". We would rock, guys...I'm pretty sure about it.

Oh boy, seems I'm a real p.ssy...
