    997 GT3 Tyres

    Heard that the new GT3 will come with either Michelins Pilot Sport Cups or similar semi-slicks. Having owned a CSL with Cups - will Porsche ask for similar disclaimer to be signed re roaduse in wet weather ? Or will they be different more roadworthy Cup tyres ? I'm sure Cup Tyres in wet Britain will be highly 'entertaining' in deep puddles !!!

    they are cup tyres, but i read that they hold up relatively well in the wet.

    biggest problem is aquaplaning, as they do not have enough grooves to shed the water when it gets really wet.

    They are modified from MPSC spec with more water channels and the rubber compound is more street oriented, afaik...
