    cab side window clatter

    Is it normal for side windows in cab to clatter when going over road bumps? This only happens when side windows are up and roof is down as the roof supports the top of the windows.

    yes, i am afraid it is. my whole car squeaks with top up or down.
    this has to do with cab being less rigid than coupe, especially on bad roads.

    It has been stated before that you should take your car to the dealer, bacause the problems you are having are not what everyone else is experiencing with their cabs!

    .....which in no way means that i cannot state my experience cause i doubt that mine is the ONLY car with these symptoms....

    I don't have any squeeks. I've been experimenting and discovered that the clatter is only present if I put the rear side windows up as well as the front. I guess the top of the two windows are not held together by the roof and therefore clatter when going over a bump.

    I also noticed that having the rear side windows down did not increase wind turbulence so I can just leave them down fixing the problem.

    intouch1, I recommend you get yours fixed as it isnt nice having irritating faults on expensive cars.

    Panther I am not an expert. The only cab I have driven was the test vehicle I borrowed before I ordered my cab. It did not have any annoying rattles, but it was brand new. If my cab starts having those symptoms I hope the dealer can adjust it. I haven't heard that many complaints from the majority of rennteamers w/cabs.

    My June 2005 build '05 cab doesn't have a single squeak or rattle, and top up or down, windows up or down, feels as tight as a drum.

    I have over 12,000 miles on my 06 cab and the only squeak was the clutch pedal around 1000 miles and only lasted a few days. No rattles, squeaks, or hums.

    Lots of squeaking in my 2006 C2S cab, top up or down. It's been to dealer three times for this and still no fix...quite frustrating. What a disaster this car is!
