    uk safety camera teams, summer from hell!

    The is a massive increase in the amount of camera vans there are in the uk...

    the are now everywhere and i can see this summer being the summer from hell for uk car drivers....... even more for sports car people who want to drive the car rather than to watch the speedo getting to no more than the lowest speed limits ever to be placed on the uk roads!

    Iam getting paranoid about the laser vans!

    i just wish it was possible to detect laser as good as radar! come on mike valentine detect laser before it gets you!

    I'd be the first get one, trouble is they are banned in the uk unlike in the us.

    i'll just have to drive with no number plates instead!

    You can get a "parking sensor" from LaserProtector (Laser Pro Park) or a "garage opener" from Target (LT400 Laser Track)

    I'm afraid not against laser.

    Laser traps are mobile and change place from day to day son they really can't be incorporated into the Blackspot's/Road Angel database for it to warn you in advance.
    And Road Angel device only offers detection of laser through its optional laser detection accesory but detection of laser is not really efective: the laser bean is quite narrow unlike radar and most of the times you would only get a warning when your own vehicle is being targeted, and laser takes normally between 0.3 to 1 second to achieve a speed reading. Especially the way they use laser there with those vans, at so short range and very comonly with LTI laser guns which have the narrowest laser beams of all in general.

    The only solution against laser is a laser jammer/difussor.

    There is a laser jammer that is sold as a parking sensor, and it does work as a parking sensor as well. This is done to avoid getting fined for using a laser jammer, since tecnically its a parking sensor which is legal, no were in its manual does it say that it jams laser, it only talks about a "parking sensor"

    laser cruise control may have laser jamming capabilitys but i'm not sure!

    Our legislators here have put in a clause in the new traffic law, that ANY DEVICE that interferes with police measuring equipment is prohibited. I'll just order a lifting mechanism for the jammer head, to help my Lidatek stay discreet.

    Unfortunaltely it won't. Its not enough to emit infrared laser, for any device to jam laser guns, its has to be on the same frecuency of 904nm and also match the pulse rate of the laser gun, otherwise the laser gun will disregard it as a false signal.
