noone1:Did you just praise how amazing the ESP was? And now it's fucked up? LOL.
The ESP is amazing in the R8. There is just something wrong (issue appeared a couple of weeks ago but I had new tires and thought it may be related to the new tires because sometimes they move on the rim when they're new and...), maybe just a software hiccup which requires a reset or maybe just a faulty sensor delivering false information. No big deal (hopefully).

Maybe you just overworked the ESP with one to many button purshes.....

Possible... I rather think it is a sensor issue though... (air flow sensor is currently the major suspect...).

On track the difference between GTS and GT3 in the hands of ' normal ' people is huge . I witnessed that at Paul Richard in June and now two days ago in Mugello . GTS is good on paper , in public roads , in the hands of professionals ...... but it stays a Carrera on track in the hands of amateurs

It is IMHO very debatable after all.
CG from SA claims that 991.2 GTS is easier to drive fast on the track(Nordschleife) then 991.2 GT3. Track time difference between two cars(GTS on new Corsas, GT3 on Cups) in CG hands is on HHR pretty much non existent. So, is he so much better driver then average GT3 owner?
Or just maybe you did not see any 991.2 GTS on new Corsas on race track?
Had a chance to test drive new GT3(PDK-S) few days ago. Awesome car.
But, more demanding then 991.2 GTS and not any faster on the autobahn. Friend who owns 991.1 GT3 RS, 991.2 GT3 and 991.2 GTS Coupe was very surprised with our test drive final outcome. His 991.1 GT3 RS ended on mobile.de as a consequence.
Kreso,
as a consequence are you canceling your order??
I test drove both last week at Le Mans during experience day.
i must argue that .2 GT3 is harder to drive at first sight, but clearly more rewarding from feeling point of view.
Anyhow, car will be here next week, so I have no way to avoid getting the GT3.
I don't mind , this is always different experience to drive a GT3, and the sound is also different.
will have more info later on next week to share !!!

Thierry,
I got allocation for January 2018 production at one German PZ. Contract signed. So, no stepping back.
I agree with you that new GT3 is from "feeling" point of view better then 991.2 GTS. But, when driven back to back situation is little bit different. GTS has way more torque and you can feel that. If for example GTS had similar gear ratios as GT3 it would most likely kill it on the most track on Corsas as well.
What is excellent about new GT3 is that engine clearly has way more torque in mid and low range then 991.1 GT3 RS engine. It is pulling harder and more visceral at the same time.

if torque is the goal then it is gt2rs all the way. between gt3 and gt3rs it is clearly rs .1 or 2. for me, no matter the NRNS time.
This confirms my fear/suspicion. The 991.2 series is the last where the GT3 cars are ahead of the standard S and GTS cars. Unless the GT3 cars move to turbos, the 992 S and 992 GTS will be faster than both GT3 and GT3RS on both road and track. Of course, GT2RS will always be the fastest.
