now the hump really looks too big.
that was always a problem with the 911 cab. when to top is down the hump looks silly. on this one it will look outrageous !
however, with the top up thy look very sweet.
my cab is silver with a black top and it really accentuates the cars hips. my previous 997 coupe did not look half as wide in the back.
but having experienced great problems with my current car's top, i will not buy a porsche convertible again unless the fault is rectified 100% by my service center.

hey turbo al,
my soft-top has become very noisy. the whole metal cage of the roof is clonking and thumping. the adhesiv on the cloth rolled around the two pillars on the sides behind the rear windows has come off and the cloth was hanging around. horrible.
it was noisy from day one and now its really become unbearable. sounds like a 7 year old cab.
when i drive with the top down, i can hear the doors on both sides squeeking. passengers in the car have asked me what that noise is !!
will take it to my service center, but i doubt they will be able to do an awful lot.....

How many of you think the tip is the best gearbox for the cab vs the coupe?

Why? So many people are driving Cabs over here in Germany in winter time, they can't afford owning two cars at the same time. My wife (and me sometimes) drove a Boxster S with winter tires during winter time, no problem at all. This is actually one of the reasons why Porsche tests ALL their models under winter driving conditions. Because they can be used as daily drivers. One week ago, we had a lot of snow, the traffic almost collapsed over here in Bavaria. Now the winter seems to be over but at least for 4 months a year, the winter has us in it's icey and snowy claws. You don't really suggest that Porsche drivers should leave their cars in the garage during winter time?!![]()
Of course if I were tracking the 911Turbo, then I would get a coupe (structural rigidity, slightly lighter weight), but that's the reason I bought the Noble M400 (about 1,000 pounds lighter than a 911Turbo coupe).
