    993 C2s..What do you guys think??

    Hey guys:)..It's been a while since i posted here on rennteam.

    Since i give up buying a brand new 996 c4s about 2 years ago and i have others things in my mind right now other than buying a brand new Porsche and party (yeah, i know, i'm getting older)..i'm planing on buying a 993 c2s from 96.The car has 98000 km and apears to be in prety good shape.By the way the dealers asks 50000 euros for the car

    What do you guys think?

    The 993 C2S is one of the all-time sports car classics. It is rare and one of the most sought-after Porsches. Yes, it is worth more than an early 996. It is the last of its kind and the most beautiful of all 911 at that.

    The price is right (in my country at least). I would definitely get a pre-purchase inspection if the dealer is unwilling to offer a warrantee (the 993 is rock-solid but repairs do get expensive really fast).

    Yours seem to be an automatic. IMHO what makes a 993S so special is its authenticity (the best and the last normally-aspirated, air-cooled 911), and the Tiptronic reduces this.
    The dealer in my city has a blue/blue manual with 120,000 km for sale at 50,000 Euro if you're interested.
    It's in Bordeaux, SW France so you'll need to have shipped if you want it delivered in the Azores. If you live in continental Portugal, it's just 2 days away.

    If you don't mind about the automatic part, then definitely go for it (provided the expert does not find any trouble).

    definiely get the PPI, yes i believe the price is right as well, mileage is a bit high, but thats to be expected to for a car that old.

    in either case, that model is a classic.

    i agree about the tiptronic though, personally i would prefer a manual but to each his own.

    Hi Paulo, it seems to be a nice car, but like the others already said, LET IT BE CHECKED OUT BY AN EXPERT !!
    I think the price is TOO HIGH, even for a 993 (S and 4S), with more then 90.000 KM, and it's a 1996, NOT A 1998 !!
    I checked this out, for example, here in Belgium I found a 1998 993 S with 67.000 KM for 44.850 EURO

    Very sharp car. Some people think the non-S C2 handles a bit better (and it's lighter with same motor and brakes for less money), but the S looks very sweet indeed!

    Paulo, the photographs make it look like this car has been given a lot of care and attention during its 10-year-lifetime and not just driven a lot.

    If you personally would be inclined to choose a Tiptronic anyway and a professional assessor gives this car the "thumbs-up" sign, then you shouldn't regret it if you buy it.

    It's a beautiful car.

    Beautiful car, one of my favorite 911, but the tiptro and the price are killing IMHO. Good luck with your choice :-)

    Here in dubai, about 28000 Euros same condition. and you can get luckier with the price!
