    H&R Springs -- Anyone been able to persuade your dealership

    to install at delivery?

    My Carrera S will arrive in June and I'd like to quickly swap out the stock springs for a set of H&R's. That being said, I'd much prefer to simply pick my car up on the day of delivery with the springs already installed. The chance of my going back and doing it once I take delivery is slim to 6 months. =) Plus, it would be much more fun and much less worrisome to avoid the risk of scratches, nicked wheels, etc. from a tire and wheel shop on my new baby.

    Have any of you been able to convince your respective dealers to arrange for the install prior to delivery? If so, any hints? I'm going to approach my dealer with this proposal far in advance of my delivery, if possible.

    My salesman told me the car would look alot nicer when lowered and said they could do for around fifteen hundred, but we didn't talk about when.

    1500 seems a LITTLE bit high for installation.

    I am having H & R springs done next week and was quoted about $1,000 including parts, labor and a new alienment.

    $1,000 is about right including parts and labor.

    My dealer LOVES doing this stuff. None of these guys want to do just warrenty work. They cant make any money that way. My Dealer installed no problem at all $1100

    IMHO, if you are getting the 997S with 19" leave it the way it is. If you get the 18" do it as it will look better

    Just spoke to my dealer and he estimated $1800.00. for installing H&R springs. They can do opon arrival but this price seems rediculas

    Yowza, Folks! I even thought $1,000 was too much. Aren't the springs about $350? I really don't think it's a $650-1,500 job to install them. Maybe I'm wrong. In any event, thanks to you all for responding.

    I am having H & R springs installed Friday. I am doing an Autocross Saturday so will try and post the bill amount on Sunday.
