    Future of Porsche RS Spyder?

    Anyone know what will happen to Porsche's RS Spyder in 2007
    ? Will it be available for private teams, Will Roger Penske still run the RS Spyder in 2007, or Will Porsche race the RS Spyder as a full factory effort.

    Just asking because it was official today that Acura has entered the full 2007 ALMS season as a full factory effort.And i'm just praying that Porsche races the RS Spyder as a full factory team, or hope Penske still runs them against the Mazdas/ and now Acuras. Anyone have any idea when or what Porsches plans are to race as a full factory team again, when/where???? I miss the late 90's when they were always at Lemans and you would watch speedvision and see Norbert Singer talking about the GT1's..
    I feel better driving my Porsche when i know that the factory is racing..thats just me.

    Wow, that Acura looks great!
    I was hoping that Porsche's entry into LMP2 would stimulate some good competition, and it looks like that's exactly what's happening.

    I personally think its ugly, more so than the lola lmp2..RS Spyder and all Porsche racers always look the best to me!

    I thought that went without saying.

    I do prefer the look of the RS, and the paint job too , but I don't see any of these LMP2 cars as attractive. Everything on them is there for performance, and that's where the beauty is.

    I guess I'm weird but I think the LMP2 cars are beautiful. So glad Acura has done this- it will be interesting to see how they compare to Porsche.

    If anything I'm the one in the minority in not really liking the looks of an LMP2 car. I will admit thought that they have a certain beauty to them when on track.

    I think we have some great racing to look forward to.
