    Finally arriving after 5months

    Thanks for all the opinions from various Rennteam members my 987S is finally arriving, but will take 10days (working days) to clear customs and stuff.

    Looking forward to try the PASM, also the Bose. I tried the Bose in a Cayman S, pretty bad experience, since the subwoofer is located in the passenger side footwell, so the sound is overly boomy when all the bass is coming from the front. Not an issue for Box and 997 though.

    One thing I noticed from the shipment list is that out of the 30plus P cars that are arriving HK, abt 60% are Cayennes, 25% CaymanS, 15% 997 and my 987s is the only Box for this shipment! Gee Cayenne really is their cash cow!

    Will post some pics as soon as it is in my garage...

    Wait time is coming to an end soon...
    Ironically you see more cabs (either Carreras or Boxsters) in regions with crap weather (like over here) than in sunny regions (maybe too hot in HK for cabs ? - don't worry, the cool-factor of the Boxster will compensate for the heat).
    I can't stand anymore the acoustic alarm my corporate car provides every morning to remind me of the cold weather (3*C this morning - we call this Spring)

    The placement of the subwoofer in the passenger side footwell IS actually better than behind your head on the shelf, but Porsche/Bose didn't do a good job with the subwoofer. Be prepared to be disappointed by the Bose system...

    Well not being a hi-fi "buff" I can only say that I am very happy with the Bose in my Boxster - after all it has to deal with the confines of a 2 seat sports car. Must admit, it doesn't sound as good as the engine...

    Well I was pretty impressed with the artifical bass provided by the 996 Bose system so I think when I am stuck in traffic (which will happen everyday), I can just crank up some gangster rap and start to swear!

    Yeah the weather over here is approaching 30C so probably can enjoy the air-con more than the open top!
