Trying to get comments and personal thoughts and experiences on the PASM option on a NON-S 997 with 18" wheels. It's the one option I'm thinking I should have gotten.
Re: Any comments / anyone have - PASM on a NON-S 997?
I'm not sure about the UK but here in Canada, PASM is available on non S versions. I like the flexibity it gives me when I'm driving. If I've got nice smooth roads ahead I go to sport mod on the PASM setting. I almost always have the sport chrono on sport mode. I have 19's on my car so I can't relate any info on ride quality. Definitely much stiffer on sport PASM mode and cornering ability is amazing.

Well, you got some things wrong... PASM is available as option for based 997, both with 18" and optional 19" wheels(Porsche recommend 19" with PASM). This is for USA market(both manual and TIP version). In Europe we have third option for based 997 Coupe(not cab!!) manual and that is -20mm/LSD(so called Sport Suspension). This one is available only with optional 19" wheels. In Europe price for PASM or -20mm/LSD for base 997 coupe is the same.
Re: Any comments / anyone have - PASM on a NON-S 997?
I have a non-S 997 qith PASM and 19" wheels and I'm very happy with it. I love the confort of the normal setup and whilst I drive it on the track the sport setup provides a great feeling. Haven't tried the -20 mm suspension... but PASM is a major improvement over the standard non-S setup.

The same for me non S with PASM, very good choice , i think the PASM is THE real difference between S and non S, (for the engine i try both... but i don t see big differences)
Re: Any comments / anyone have - PASM on a NON-S 997?
Thank you all for your inputs. I have the base suspension and find that with the rough roads that I have to travel to get to the main (and smoother) throughfares it really is a rough ride (but at least until I get to the highway). As this is my first Porsche and I purchased it with the notion that I hope to get the options 80-90% right, I still wonder about adding PASM on my next purchase, whenever that may be.
