    Anyone seen the latest EVO magazine?

    One of their contributors buys a Carrera GT in GT Silver and resprays it Yellow at a cost of Pounds9k!!! His explanation is that he's wanted one in that colour ever since seeing one on the motorway.

    Yellow and black are the best colors on the CGT. I don't blame him for repainting his car. Also, if I am not mistaken over 35% of the Porsche's on the road today are some type of silver.

    i agree, the CGT looks best in anything but silver Get black, red, white or yellow, it looks great in all those colors. Its a super car. You can't expect to drive a super car and not get noticed, so why get a plane jane color? If you have the balls to drop $400k on a car, have the balls to get it in a stimulating color

    But yellow? The Carrera GT is enough of a statement without making an even bigger one. I'm not saying this chap should be concerned about depreciation come time to sell, but there is a reason why yellow cars depreciate more than more traditional colours - most people don't like the fact that it makes them look ostentatious and a show off.

    The guy didn't pay that much for it. In the magazine he explains that he waited to get one secondhand and therefore saved KPounds90...

    ok....he spent $310k thats still a nice chunk of change to spend on a car, you can't buy this car & expect not to get noticed

    I happen to think that silver is the best CGT colour actually... Got these pics on rennteam a while back. Polar Silver...

    ouch...how can you respray such a car ? yellow looks great, but then should have bought a yellow one to start with....oh and yes, then spray it gt silver......
