    Would you consider...?

    Many many posts and reposts on" is the PSE mod damages the exhausts or not". To my understanding, the final decision was "unknown". NO direct proof... What would you do?

    You think too much my friend . Just get the PSE . I had it instaled last month and my only regret is to have waited so long to do it.

    yarub1, with respect, I don't think that was Georges's point. He is questioning whether to do the PSE modification or not, not whether to get PSE or not.

    I've driven over 10,000 miles after I did the mod and have had no problems.

    George, the same fix (disabling the resonator valves) has been done in countless 996 versions as well with no reported problems ever. Furthermore, the "mechanics" involved stands to logic that is does no damage. So I wouldn't worry about it

    I've done it (actually a "friendly" Porsche Master Tech did it for me) and never gave it a second thought.

    I've read all the threads--the sky may fall too, but I'm not going to worry about that either.

    I did it and have gone 8k miles... the only issue is that I sound sooo good it amkes my neighbors jealous! I am surprised at how conservative the group appears to be....

    Carlos, easy_rider, I'm having the PSE install tomorrow!!!! BTW the Porsche technician himself proposed to do the mod...

    Some of the US dealers offer to install PSE with or without electronics.....If there was the slightest chance that not having the electronics (which is EXACTLY the same as disconnecting the electrical plug)caused any problems, there is no way that official Porsche dealers would offer it.....
