    "Passenger Airbag Off"

    Quick question, everytime that my girlfriend sits in the passenger seat, the "Passenger Airbag Off" light turns on. She is about 5'6'' and 97 lbs. I know it is probably because she is light so we will have to push down on the seat hard or have her move around to get the "Passeger Airbag Off" light to go off.

    I am wondering do you guys ever experience this problem with light passengers and what do you guys do to go around this annoying problem. Can I manually turn the passenger airbag on?

    ...sounds like a bad seat sensor.

    any idea where the seat sensor is at?

    same thing happens when she sits in my Lexus.

    I think you need to either fatten her up, or have her carry a heavier than usual handbag and see if that helps. With this happening in two totally different cars it seems weight is the problem.

    hahaha, heavier handbag. She already has a handbag that I think is too big for her!

    Anyway to turn the passenger airbag on manually?

    Does the light come on when you sit in the passenger seat?

    If not then it's definitely her weight!

    Two choices - take it to your dealer, have the sensor adjusted, OR buy her lots of jewellery and body piercings.

    I would suggest the former, but if you choose the latter please post photos.

    The light comes on when she sits in the passenger seat. She has to push down or move around shifting the weight just to get the light to turn off. After the getting the 997 2 weeks ago, it will be months before she gets any new jewelrey!
