pmarkow:i just realized from the pictures of my car which i took yesterday that the two body panels which meet at the rear fender do not fit together well (see attached pic). could the RS owners here please check their car and let me know whether it is the same? is this normal or should i complain?
thanks a lot, peter
Mine was perfect, you should complain, it is probably an easy fix.
Gnil:GoHardGT3RS:I finally collected my GT3 RS in Zuffenhausen last week. At the delivery of the car, I asked the Porsche guy about the rubbing issue and if it got finally fixed. His answer was: "We have changed a couple of things like spring calibration, it should be better but not excluded that you still face the issue on track"...
I would like to understand if Porsche has increased the height of the car. I have exactly 10.5 cm to the bottom of the front spolier in black plastic (production early February 2016).
What height has/had your car as factory setting and when was it produced? Many thanks for your input!
Your question gave me a good excuse to go and have a look at my car . I did not see it for more then 2 month . What a beauty
My car was produced in July/August . At the front , in the middle of the car , I have 14 cm to the lowest part of the black lip . On the side, closest to the wheel I have 15 cm ....... But I just realize I must of have the front lift up
I will have to mesure again .....
At the back, this photo will tell you:
I knew you likes french tips, buddy ..

ALDO:not my taste - even the front lip is painted
Agree with you fully. Painted front lip and side skirts are a big no, no on 991 GT3 or GT3 RS.
Interior looks interesting, I mean yellow stitching. Not so sure about yellow cage.
For sure prices for special Exclusive options are not low...
oof... typical case of "less would have been more"; if he had stuck to "normal" black exterior and would have limited the yellow accents to the seatbelts and deviated stitching, this car would have been totally badass... now it is trying too hard IMO, but I can see what the owner was trying to do. He should have consulted Iain :-)
Yes I actually like that car.
Sorry, too busy driving Porsche on ice in Finland last few days to post anything.
The 991.2 turbo engines sounds like crap from the outside, almost silent, but they sounds not bad from the INSIDE.
The Turbo S same thing, too quite outside but not bad from the inside.
The GT3RS are glorious inside or outside. Even better than the 918 I think.
bluelines:No GT4s? Maybe too extreme for the course.
Too much grip in the snow it was reported. Apparently drove the same on ice as it does on dry asphalt...

sfo:way too many yellow highlights
at least the yellow body bits appear to match the brake calipers
Not ENOUGH yellow accents. If you do it you do it all the way. This car needs yellow strips and more yellow in the front to balance it out, yellow mirrors too probably. And even with all these yellow accents it stays a black car that hides most if not all interesting design features.

I quite like it! The idea was to break up the black so the car doesn't look like a dark puff of smog running around. I'm not sure about the yellow on the roll cage, but the rest is quite nice.
For me , it is far better than the multi colored "clown cars" that Porsche insist on putting on display at launch events. At least here the colors are coordinated. I like some order in things.

BjoernB:I think Peter you should sell the car..... and buy a speciale - no reason needed
You are mean...

throt:Super Darius:non a fan of Black....but WOW!
Looks like a RC spec. Christian?....I like it...
Not for me. I would have ordered the car in white or black but without yellow accents. Too much for me.
The GT3 RS is already an eye catcher by itself, it doesn't need stuff like that or any decals. I told you guys about that funny GT3 RS in Munich who foiled his car like a race car and it looks absolutely ridiculous. His driving style kind of fits the foil, he never uses the blinker and drives like a maniac through the city. I don't care if he reads this (he could be here in the forum because I told him about us), he probably knows very well how his driving style is. Whenever I meet him with the other guys, I keep my distance to him, just in case...
