The base price is 90k EUR, so with the "necessary" options, this car will cost around 125k EUR. Ouch. A bit too much for an Audi Diesel for my taste. Unless they offer interesting lease opportunities, which could be possible.
I am still curious about the RS Q7...price tag with options should easily exceed 150k EUR though.

SciFrog:I though Audi has very little options to choose from especially on top models? I specced a new Q7 the same way we have ours now, in 2006 was $62k now $67k...
They better come up with a high hp petrol engine for the USA, buying a diesel right now would be resale suicide.
I specced the petrol version with 333 hp (base price 64k EUR in Germany) to over 103k EUR. Ouch. I didn't even go crazy on the available leather options because otherwise I would have ended up at 110k EUR and more.
The Q7 offers tons of options now and most of them a really something you want to have on such a car. Clever.

That's a really nice looking truck.
+ 1 That colors with the blacked out front frame suits the SQ7 perfectly
Kreso, you are getting the perfect family SUV I am waiting for my ' base' Q7 in July .

I agree about the crazy list of options and , yes, most of them you want to have as they improve the car by a lot .
The Q7 offers much more to a large family then a Cayenne or X5 . There is nothing less in a Q7 diesel then in a Cayenne diesel . I don't mind paying same price for the same options/quality I get .

Yes, it sometimes looks quite weird on photos but looks better in reality. Still not my favorite design though, a little bit boring but I think this is intentional to attract less attention and to distract people from realizing how big this car actually is.

Actually I don't mind that Audi has taken the new Q7 a teeny bit closer to an estate car style.... perhaps a response to negative views in the EU on classic SUVs?

+1 the Q7 is actually larger then the GLS but making it look like a station wagon makes it less imposing

I wonder if a petrol version is coming for regions that aren't so diesel-inclined like the Middle East. Audi did the same thing with the SQ5 - launching a 354hp petrol for places like the US, Ukraine and other markets. I'm sure the 4.0L V8 that sees duty in the RS6/7 models would do great service here.

WAY:How does this compare price wise to a X5M? X5M performance is far better!
You compare a Diesel to a petrol engine? Also different price classes?

I'm comparing two performance SUV. What engine it comes with is irrelevant. But I forget BMW also has a M50d. I guess this is the true competition?
Turbolite : I spoke to the guys from ABT at the Geneva auto show . They said you can actually try the chip before installing it . AMAG will install a ' demo box' and they you can see if you like the change or not . They also said it will not alter the throttle response .
