Hmm, I like the motivation for getting a new car... getting smoked at the stop lights. Why don't you install NOS on your 996 Turbo? ...maybe you can change the gear ratio as well to make it quicker 0-60... and throw out the back seats, should spare some weight. Okay mate, I am out of good ideas.

I never had a 993. Wanted one but could never afford it. Whilst I see you are clearly amused by my suggestion, (NEVER! lol.), I found my 996 to be a good car 
. OK. Perhaps not as hand made as 993. Perhaps a 993 has more passion-though what does that mean? But I have to say personally I'd buy a much earlier 911 if I wanted a car for resale, character and the old Porsche 'feel', but as a cheap (now) reliable quick car, I still rather like the 996.
