Separate topic - I'll be living in Zürich from May to September this summer. I'll be picking up my Porsche from the factory in August. Would love to get your advice on some great roads around Zürich for running her in.

Yeah, what is embarassing is all these other adjustible more mundane features that are included with it totally unrelated to "sport," and the whole package topped with a stopwatch (not even a proper clock). AWGGGH! Everything thrown together. Makes no logical sense.

Ah the lap timing function, works great, but you have to figue it out first, not the must intuitive when your driving at speed.
After start trip is activated in PCM...
You have to press the stalk once to start timing...move the selection down one to interval then press the stalk again.
Pass the S/F line and then depress the stalk twice to start a new lap.
If you get that figured out and don't screw-up or forget...
The cool feature is the color display on the PCM screen indicating slower, faster or equal lap time.
Not intuitive, not easy and I always seem to mess up....Driving is 100% focus
All in all... worthless

You mean a use, other than to stop it precisely at 9.11 seconds because you can (and it's a cool way to have the chrono lit up at night)? (Ok, that's borderline lame, but think of it as a passenger I.Q. test--if they see it and ask why 9.11, she better be a looker because she's none too bright).
I do agree with the other posts--you'd have to practice a lot with the stopwatch to stand a chance of using it effectively at speed, on the track. I use all the other features of Sports Chrono Package plus. So I tolerate the practically worthless timer, which is duly pegged at 9.11 seconds.

LOL. You got it! Funny. There was that Sat Night Live skit where Spock finally cracks and goes nuts (the skit was about the show being cancelled).
