Wow - $293k is not cheap (more than double new GT3, but has older less sophisticated motor). What is the Germanprice with VAT? Over 300k EUR?

285.220€
Interesting - usually the price in US is fewer dollars than Euros in Germany with VAT. US pays a premium, but doesn't get the rollcage, I guess?

The Porsche UK configurator is up. You can get rid of the Red interior, but it costs extra to do so (worth it).

MKSGR:0-200: 8.3s
0-300: 22.1s
Not quite in 720S territory (7.8s to 200 and 21.4s to 300). In US, the 720 is less expensive than 2RS (without Weissach)...

In Germany, the 720s is also significantly cheaper than the GT2RS.

I guess rather than limit the production to 500 cars like last time, they just chose a price that would guarantee that they wouldn't have to build too many
I wonder if the marketing department just chose such a high number to see if GT customers had a ceiling?

Indeed, the car will not be limited (based on Sportauto)
MKSGR:KresoF1:Great car. I would get it over 720S any time. But, I have to admit that I am Porsche fan.
BTW, top speed is in 7th gear.
That also explains the rather good 0-300 time - narrow gears
Indeed. Will try to get one. I am even prepared to wait little. It longer if necessary.
MKSGR:KresoF1:Well, no. 720S is a great car as well. But, I would not get it over 991.2 GT2 RS. For a various reasons.
720s has a very attractive pricing though... And it is lighter, and slightly quicker (in the straight line) still
Only under full throttle. In for example autobahn relevant 160km/h-300km/h new GT2 RS is faster(better flexibility).
i will stick with my order of the 488GTO. there i get the looks, the guarantee to have something very special for the same money and most likely better performance - which i do not care much about for street use though. the GT2RS is not even limited, PAG will flood the market with it (some options start in 02/18 !!!!) so i cannot even resell the car easily.
