I was starting to wonder about the core base of RT members ; it is entertaining to read , but at some stages it does get pretty scary to think that they actually believe what they write
, at least some still have some good sense

RC:I forgot to mention that I would like the Republicans to win but currently, all their presidential candidates kind of suck. I like Jeb Bush, he seems to be down to earth and unlike other people, ... So yes, politicians have to be liars and they have to be able to deceit, it is part of their job description but I prefer politicians to lie to other politicians and not to the public.
There's a reason you feel that way about Jeb Bush vs. the rest of the Republican field:

It would be impossible to fact check Hillary as she creates such a volume of half truths, lies and deceptions that no one can keep up with them all. Now she has the FBI investigating her, maybe they can sort through it all.
And who checks politicafact? US news and world report studied them and found substantial bias. So it's just another media organ of the DNC.

OK, guys...back to Mission E...we have other (non-car related threads) where we can discuss politics. Thanks (and my apology to the other users!).
We (wife, daughter, me) the i3 last weekend. Afterwards, we commented a lot about the car and came to the conclusion that it is a very interesting concept and quite nice. We all liked the interior, we liked the rear, we all hated the front (main reason why neither of us would ever want to drive this car). For 100 bucks per month (lease), definitely worth a shot but unfortunately there aren't such (good) offers in Germany yet.

I already know this (dark) side from the E mode of the Cayenne Hybrid, the i8 and the Tesla S. 
So far, I like the Tesla S85 best.

Very silent in this thread.
So here are some fresh news:
- there will be two mission e models - internal model J1 - basis and turbo
Basis model will reach 500 km and turbo will have 600 hp. The turbo has not such a range as the basis model.
Price for the basis model 70.000€ and for the turbo 140.000€
Porsche will not earn money with the first generation of J1(mission e).

Wonder why they decide to name the performance version "Turbo". A bit weird for an EV istn't it? About time for Porsche to phase out the "Turbo" name in general since it's nothing special anymore
I would have thought it would be becuase it has a turbo charged engine in addition to the electric motors

I guess this version as the turbo-charging of the battery and constant amp throughout the speed range......I am excited by this car!

The high difference in price, is because the 600 hp version needs different technology. Cooling is a large problem. As I was told, also the range of 500 km is not possible due to higher horse power engines.
Interesting is that Porsche don´t calculate any profit. Only some extras offered by the Exclusive Department.

Then it would make sense. But AFAIK the mission E is Electrical only and hence no Turbo. The only place they mention the word "Turbo" is in terms of some tech for Turbo charging the batteries
