What happend to this forum! People used to be nice.
Not sure why you are saying this?
We cannot know every single 993 GT2 driver out there on this planet and Leawood just tried to help out with the English. I am usually happy when someone corrects me because I often don't have a clue if what I write is correct. He meant well, even if it doesn't seem that way.
Very rare car indeed (if original, which is sometimes questionable...it may look like a GT2 but it may be a modified Turbo, saw one just recently, stripped of AWD and visually modded to represent a GT2).

dedam:This afternoon on the i95 at Palm beach was behind orange 993 GT2 with us license plate. Driving together with silver 993
Could not believe my eyes.
Anyone know any info about this very rear Porsche!
That car was never legal in the US. It's possible that some sort of exemption was received, but more likely that it is just a Carrera or Turbo with lots of modifications.

I shouldn't have read this. About 10-12 years ago, I had the opportunity to buy one of these. I could even choose between blue and white (the seller owned 2!). We couldn't agree on the price... Dammit!
Will try to find the photos again... Just to make it even more painful...
I own a 993 GT (its real name although people refer to it as the GT2).
Mine is also orange (Blut Orange) and it is a clubsport version. 1 of 7 worldwide. It is absolutely amazing and one of my favorite cars. I bought it over three years ago for £265k and I remember thinking, fuck, that's a ridiculous amount of money for a 911 but I loved it so much (my two favorite 911 are the 993 and the 997) so I took the plunge.
Today there is another one for sale, riviera blu original colour, for £950k!
The one you saw in the US could be a modified car as I know for sure that mine was the only orange one out of the 7 cars.
There were a lot more comfort versions and in 1998 I think, a final batch was called the 993 GT EVO, all amazing cars but no clubsport.

Lost chances...I remember them well...but at that particular time, the decisions were right. So no regrets, not worth it.

Were only 60 ever made? Super rare, probably my favorite 911 right before the '74 Carrera RS 2.7L

Dedam, stoor je niet teveel aan lea, die doet gewoon af en toe raar... :-)
Cool to see such a fantastic car on the road! Must have been quite a sight.
Off course i should have made a picture, but thats a kind of complicated in a busy I95.
I never expected a car like that in the wild. And I am 100% sure it was a 993 GT2.
On the other hand in the Palm Beach area there are lots of RARE Porsche.
The other day a saw a 997 GT3 cabriolet in Boca Raton. I think this car does not exist, but the badge was clear and it said "GT3". Anyone of you know a 997 Gt3 cabriolet exist?

Put it this way: Porsche has never built one.
