m4ever:Beautiful color ! How did you spec the interior?
Your avatar suggests that we share the same colour taste Interior will be black leather/Alcantara/Carbon, silver elements (stitches/door pulls/safety belts) and light weight buckets
@ all: thanks so much for the positive comments - really appreciated and makes me even more excited about the upcoming pick up Only problem is, that winter arrived today.....of course there is still hope that it will be better next Friday.

After almost 8 months waiting car finally arrived this afternoon at the garage...Because the truck broke down on the road to Belgium (clutch.... ) the car didn't arrive wednesday but only today.
I was told i could pick it up this evening but .... snow and hailstones came in after 6pm and garage called , we'd better wait till tomorrow evening... fingers crossed: snow is forcasted tomorrow evening... so the never ending story of a very difficult birth continues.
Car has been built 19th of octobre.....

@ beltar: sorry to hear about the delivery saga but I am sure all this will be forgotten once you turn the ignition key for the first time Just curious to hear what happened to your car between Ovtober 19th and today - even in most conservative break-in mode it can't take almost three months from Stuttgart to Belgium ?

Yes indeed Very nice interior configuration , looking forward to the pictures! Do you know by chance the weight difference between light weight buckets (P11) and the standard bucket seats? Have not so far found this information. I have too ordered the lightweight bucket seats on my Spyder which will be produced in the second part of April (but no PTS for me sadly).
Off topic : Here is my 993 4S in Riviera blau.

@ m4ever: your aircooled beauty looks fantastic ! I also tried to figure out the weight difference between the LWBs and the foldable buckets, but couldn't find any meaningful data.....other than the rather generic Porsche claim that they are extra light. To be honest I picked them for the "cool factor" - maybe even in the literal sense as they cannot be ordered with seat heating....Having said that I am very happy with the foldable buckets in the GT3 - never had better seats in any car and I very much hope that the LWB are the same level from an ergonomic point of view (wifey and me were happy with them during a short test in a GT4 but the car was stationary in a showroom). Yes, unfortunately the time window for ordering PTS was very small (about 6 weeks if I recall correctly). But then I've yet to see a Spyder not looking good - regardless of the colour. May I ask which colour you did pick ? I wish you that time flies by until April :-)

The P11 lightweight buckets are the 918 spyder style seats which have electric height adjustment.
P11 option
The P03 seats are the folding buckets that were offered in the Cayman R, 991 GT3 etc. The height can only be adjusted by a trip to the workshop. They can now be spec'ed with a heated option as well.
P03 option
Ours is arrived, first 250km run... in rain and snow
Tomorrow, wash, wash , wash and pics.... sounds almost like 993 with soundpack, by far the best sound since DFI-engines .

Thank you Porsche-Jeck. I have also chosen the P11 option because I like the seats and not because of their weight nevertheless was curious to know the weight difference between the two. My Spyder will be Agate Grey with Spyder Classic interior , P11, platinum grey wheels , extended Alcantara/Leather option. No PCM and manual air con. I kept the standard radio, had a thought to confirm the radio delete, but my wife blocked from doing this . I am very much looking forward to seeing the pictures of your Spyder.

So, my first day with the spyder has come to an end.
I took a few pictures to give you all an impression of our configuration. Beautiful pics will follow in spring when nature is more green and i can find time to search better locations.
