the problem I have , growing up in the 1960s among American muscle cars is that certain well regarded sports cars like McLarens, incl the P1 , various AMGs incl the GT and Jag F type , with their subtle to demonstrative percussive V8s in the background , all sound too " American " to me when just putzing about vs WOT..., not " European " !
in this video , I can hear that during the 12C's slow down between bursts at the 28-40 second mark , where it sounds like a current Corvette in similar touring mode gentle throttle
but like I said, at WOT, it is a very different noise vs a Corvette !

The V8 muscle car sound is actually what gives me the shivers...I do not love anything more than this V8 sound.
One reason I love how Aston Martin cars sound...or the new Jaguar F-type. AMG? Yes, baby.

I expect that 12C is 625hps. with slightly lighter chasis.... they should be similar, if not 488 a bit faster.... but this clearly looks like both cars are similar....
I will have a go with 488 soon with 650S, if that video is telling the truth, then 650S should give a bit of pulling than 488 once reach 200 and above..... perhaps the gear ratio set up is making the differences...
