Lars997:
Correctly - the facelift is next. And currently the line up is actually better than ever before. The GTS Caymen is one of the best looking Porsches out there. The GT4 is probably the coolest thing you can buy from Porsche this year and the facelift will even get better than that.
Don't think that the 4 Cylinder would harm that. Whatever they will launch will be better than the predecessor. In other words - I'm looking forward to whatever will be next. If there will be a facelift GT4 with a PDK I will put my name on the list instantly. And that one would be even more a keeper once the 4 cylinder is out.
Right now, I haven't heard much of a facelifted GT4. There was a rumor about a GT4 RS but this may actually be that GT4 Clubsport but you never know...
Porsche needs to get away from the n/a engines, so the chance of a facelifted GT4 is not really big.
Yes, the GT4 is a keeper, so is the GT3/RS, especially if Porsche decides to use turbo engines in the GT models as well (which can happen at any time ). If Porsche thinks that these cars would sell with turbo engines, they will get turbo charged engines.
Oh, just in case you misunderstood me: The facelifted Boxster and Cayman get new turbo charged 4-cyl. engines. Bye bye flat six.
I'm still onto that mysterious 911 R, kind of like the idea of having one but I do not want to have two 911 in my garage and I kind of like the idea of keeping my GTS Cab, especially since my wife is in love with this car.
Time will tell...no hurry...yet.
