    612 ?

Yes, manual 612... Nothing close to the huge gain on a 918 though Smiley

Well, at least, one of my cars has doubled value in the past 18 months so the pain is more bearable...

Smiley My Mustang dealer just called yesterday, offering me the same price for my car I paid when I bought it new with him over a year ago. I refused (still enjoying my GT500). Now I am hoping for a price increase because there are basically no last production year (2014) cars with track pack (additional gearbox and oil cooler, Torsen LSD) available in Germany and these cars are in demand right now. If Ford doesn't make another GT500 with a supercharged V8 (and right now, it doesn't look likely), this could be an interesting development.

I know that many Americans may not understand the pleasure of owning a GT500 but over here in Europe, there is a huge fan base, especially in Germany and in Switzerland. The 2013/2014 cars have a reputation of being very reliable, highly refined (for a GT500) and very fast. Also, they make a great tuning base for power figures of reliable(!) 850 hp and more if people are willing to invest an additional 20-30k in them.

Update on the first part of this post (dealer called while I was writing this): My Mustang dealer just offered me a brand-new GT350 for January delivery if I pay 10k EUR on top or December delivery if I pay 15k on top. Tempting (the GT350 are sold over MSRP in Germany, they are not officially available here) but I am going to pass. He really wants my car. Smiley

Well, of course not a very impressive value increase (especially compared to a manual 612 or even 918) but I had to start small. Smiley Smiley

Do not forget that if his alternative is import from the US, the FX is not in his favor and buying your car at the EURO price you bought it at, might be a discount for him vs a similar car from a USD country.

I know, this is why I didn't agree. A couple of weeks ago, he wanted my car also, he had an almost new Mercedes GT-S, slightly used, he wanted to get rid of (apparently his private car). He offered me to pay 50k or so  (I don't remember the exact number anymore, I'm getting old Smiley) on top and my GT500. Car was worth over 160k EUR and had only 6k km or so. Not a bad deal but I'm not really into the GT-S, I don't know why.

For 100k, I may be tempted to sell my GT500 (I really want to get a 2013 or 2014 R8 V10 Plus and there are many interesting cars below 100k EUR available right now) but not for less. On the other hand, I may keep the GT500 forever because I really love this monster. Smiley This is not a car you want to drive on a daily basis but for a couple of hours on weekends, it is fun.

Don't worry, same here. Talked to my dealer, showed some interest (not even sure I can afford one) but so far, nothing new, no official information, not even a price tag, just rumors. The unofficial information I have doesn't help me much. Smiley Also dealer told me that he has several interested customers but this doesn't concern me right now since I don't even know if I can afford one.

Bottom line is: A lot of secrecy is going on, latest rumors indicate a base price tag from 180 to 240k EUR and a detuned GT3 RS 4.0 l engine with 460-475 hp, light weight parts (incl. the GT3 RS front hood) but it is still unknown if the car gets PDK or not (the one mule I saw had PDK though).

Lots of secrecy and lots of rumors indeed.  I heard exactly the same except it will be manual. Also heard that the R should be the  lightest 991 to date.  Wide body (but not Turbo/RS body). Looking very much forward to it.

This is currently the biggest mystery. Smiley Car I saw had PDK and backseats but surprisingly, it was the same license plate used for that car in the photos without backseats (cage). The license plates can be switched though (KBA registration, not your regular license plate registration), so no big deal.

I heard at some point that backseats may be optional but the base car will be delivered in the lightest way possible, without A/C, PCM or even most usual dampening material. However, it may be possible to order these things free of cost.

All I know (and saw Smiley) is 4.0 l GT3 RS engine with lower power (reduced cooling capacity due to the missing side vents and rear wing), roll cage optional, lots of lightweight parts from GT3 RS (front hood for example) and many comfort features optional. Still not written in stone though, apparently this car is still under development.

My last information is that it will have a GT3 engine - not RS engine. I have asked and got that confirmation. Who knows?
