What the heck - just drive your cars private and you don't have to argue with or think about the tax authorizations. I never understood the company owners driving cars based on what the government allows them to do. Matter in fact, lots of my friend are now driving their sports car private and just take a daily beater on the company. Today it is better doing things decent and "underneath the radar".
You have money to throw away? I don't. I try to deduct anything possible and as long as my tax advisor plays ball and the tax office accepts it, I'm in the green.
Fair enough and fully understood. But toys are toys and business is business.
A huge misunderstanding is that a capital company (GMBH) is standing on its own feet. The managing director has to care about optimizing the profit of this organization. I know it sounds a bit BS but steering and controlling this company has to be in best interest of the company. And if the owner or MD (or maybe both in one person) just wants to optimize the personal advantage than something is wrong. A MD of a corporation has neither the right to act like this and he probably carries even much higher risks. So why the owner of a GmbH should be able to optimize on personal fun except of companies interest? I think can't complain in Germany about this at all (and yes - I'm the one sitting in the executive corporate chair, but my wife is owner and MD of a GmbH - so I know both sides pretty well).
