    No painted wheels on first cars???

    The factory just deleted my "wheels painted in exterior color" option, they say it isn't available for the first bunch of cars.

    Just wanted to "warn" you, this option may delay your car production if the dealer doesn't get the warning it time and/or doesn't correct it.

    Does somebody actually have a confirmation WITH painted wheels? Just curious.

    RC, I heard tthe same thing when I personally called Exclusive in Stuttgart. Fully painted wheels are not yet available... Same thing for PCCBs calipers painted in red or black. All the other Exclusive options(those with first letter C or D) can be ordered immediately but, production from August 2006(after factory holidays). This is the reason that my Turbo is October 2006 production...
    But, you will enjoy your car any way!!

    My dealer asked me if I want to pass my car to somebody else and take delivery later on when this option is available. He has more than 10(!!!) people who would be interested in my car.

    No way, I told him.

    I dont understand how porsche treats to its customers...
    was that difficult to have inventory of black painted wheels from the start?!?!

    give your car to somebody else???? you should have killed him just for asking this question!! its not a big deal ,you can always do it later at a good paintshop,its an easy job..

    these are the wheels of my previous cayenne,they were normal sport techno, i painted them along with the calipers.doesnt they look good? these are not posp but basp(beirut aftermarket sport paint)

    That's Porsche for you. Why should they give everything to us on a plate when they can continue releasing more and more personalisation and Exclusive options every so often? They need that to keep people interested as the model goes through its 7 year production cycle. It sucks but it's good business.
