Owners of the Porsche models Macan S or Macan Turbo will soon be contacted by their local dealer to have their cars looked at after Porsche issued a voluntary safety recall today. Of the 58,881 Macan S and Macan Turbo vehicles around the world 21,835 are in the United States, 3,490 are in Canada, 3891 in Germany, 1302 in Australia and the rest spread across the globe. The recall is for a possible leak in the low-pressure fuel line inside the engine compartment. The line will be replaced your dealer's workshop. Porsche stressed that this is a purely precautionary measure, as there have been no reports of accidents or injuries as a result of this concern.

I contacted my Dealer (should have been vice versa) to bring my Macan Turbo for the replacement but apparently they do not yet have available the spare parts.
The recall came in last week, sorry, I should have mentioned it. Parts are available (in limited quantities) but only for cars which are already showing a smell of fuel. For all others, the retrofit isn't that urgent apparently. My wife's car is affected as well but she hasn't been contacted by the dealer/Porsche yet.
