Anyone familiar with the new Q7?

My wife struggles every winter with her rear wheel drive CLK 350 cabriolet. I think the best long term solution is to buy her an AWD car. I really like the new Q7 TDI. But since it hasn't been formally released in the US it is hard to get any information with the level of detail that we Rennteamers are used to. Can any of you shed some light on what options you think are must haves? The virtual cockpit and wireless phone charging are useful, but I'm less certain about the driving Aids and air suspension. I plan to order kirschschwarz paint through the exclusive program and take delivery in the summer.

I think Audi UK site has a brochure with all the details of packages etc for the new Q7 as it is rolled out there already; option choices will be slightly different when it comes to US but I would think not completely different, so might be worth a look there.

But just curious about how you get from a CLK cab to a Q7? The Audi is still a very large SUV (~200 inch length), and I tend to find women are more sensitive to car size than men are - depends on how you (or she) uses the car of course. If her car sees lots of hauling of stuff, or long distance cruises, the Q7 would be very nice. OTOH, in city/suburban driving with lots of tight parking etc., some of the less-huge Audis might be also worth a look, and have just as capable AWD systems.

Thanks 4trac, I looked at the UK and Germany sites and it is helpful, but I have no experience with what the various options provide in term of the experience. We will keep the CLK but sometimes need a larger vehicle to move items or people around. I hope that some the park assist features might mitigate her anxiety over a much larger car.
