    M3 fighter from honda!

    High revving 6 cylinder 2+2 hardtop. Sounds pretty good except I'm little worried bout the SH(super handling) all wheel drive.
    Does anyone know about the SH-AWD and is it good. AWD cars tend to be heavier.

    stupid honda, I love the cars to death from a quality stand point, but the car will be heavy with awd, and not nearly enough engine or today...the M3 as a competitor has 400 HP (minimum)....down 80 hp from the get go...tsk tsk.

    M3 fighter? nah, what honda has cooked up is just a car. It's like what they were saying about the s2k. When the s2k first came out it was touted as a Boxster fighter..... it never lived up to that. Yeah it has horsepower- but you have to damn near break the car to come close to the boxster's power and moreover- it doesn't have the luxury or refinement of a porsche boxster, bmw z3/z4, or an slk. The s2k stayed an option for someone who couldn't get a z3 or z4, slk, or boxster.... but could get an infinity- or a come close to the cost of a tl.

    Uh....I would bet that this will be lighter then the rs4 and the m3 despite the SH AWD and the SH AWD is supposed to be pretty innovative though I havn't been convinced yet.
    This car will also be cheaper then the M3 by pretty far. Good option for peopl who want a 335 coupe. Honda tends to keep their cars light and maybe there will be a rwd option.

    The S2000 was not a boxster or z4 but much cheaper. I would take it anyday over a Z4. It was an affordable, raw, focused, fun sports car. 320 hp is plenty as long as they keep the weight down.

    Whats going on with the makers and 4wd!!!!!

    Well,the S2000 wasn't much slower than a Boxster S.This is based on German tests.
    I think it is a very good car.The engine is very very reliable,despite the 9200rpm redline.With only 2L of displacement and a simple FR layout,it did pretty well against the 3.2L,midship Porsche.

    The s2k is a good car and it has one of the best production engines EVER made, I don't think anyone will doubt that. However, it isn't really up to snuff with cars in the segment that honda would place it in. Really- take a look at the Mz4 vs. the Boxster S- the msrp on a boxster S is basically the price you can buy a Mz4 at right now. Like, for me- I love porsche and all, but being nearly 30-50 hp down on the bmw, not having some of the luxury items that the M z4 will have and costing nearly 20k more just to have the boxster S I would actually want over the Mz4 isn't a great buy. For that 24 k or so, one could get an S2k.

    make the 3.0 rev to 9000 RPM and we can talk:) drop it in the S2k body and we can talk a lot!!!!

    I doubt this car would compete with the M3, maybe the Z4M (unless it eventually gets a V8). However, it sounds like a great car that will be fast, reliable and relatively inexpensive.

    I'm a big fan of the S2000. It was nowhere near the Boxster or Z4 in refinement, but it could more than match them in almost every performance area and came with a much lower price tag.

    I didn't like the fact that you had to rev it ridiculously high to get any power out of it either, but hearing 9000rpm in a road car with the top down is pretty exhilarating.
    I'll be very anxious to see what they do with its successor.
