There is a good pic below & that is a killer pic above, rhino. The XRR look great, I would've ordered XRR instantly if the weight penalty was only a couple of ounces. Don't let me talk you out of the XRR's,
but personally I've grown disenchanted with XRR bec of weight.
It's not a massive difference, but I cannot sell myself that heavier is "sportier" ? Between 1.5 and 2 lbs. per wheel heavier. Granted, there may be a slight traction advantage as both front and rear XRR are one-half inch wider-- REARS are 4.5% wider than the Carrera S wheels but they are 7% HEAVIER. The front XRR are 6.3% wider but 8.5% HEAVIER than C2S base wheels. Consequently I've got an '07 C4S on order with standard 19" Carrera S wheels, and the *lobster* look has grown on me big time over the last 1.5 years, lately they remind me of an updated version of my Dad's old '68 Lamborghini Miura factory alloys.

The best pictures of a black 997S with XRR wheels I have ever seen were posted some months ago by antonio2. If you do a search for all posts by antonio2, you will find them.
Believe me, they are so good, you will feel like mortgaging yourself to pay for a car like that!

Black on black with XRR...XD9 - Rims and Caps - Exterior Color
Just my personal opinion- I don't like 'em in black as much as I thought I would. XRR are better in metallic. Either stock- in GT silver metallic.....or as Matt C/Switzerland XRR's in seal grey metallic.
...... or slate metallic (last pic below).
The metallic finish makes the spokes look so much more 'chiseled' imho..... gloss black with the polished XRR lip looks like whitewall.

nah, just the camera flash reflecting off inner wheel well...but I know what you mean, even on the S model the fender gaps seem to look too big in photos, but in the flesh they look fine (at least from my unspoiled-by-Euro-spec -20mm perspective). Wait until you get the car before booking any speed shop appointments. The thing that may eventually compel you to lower ride height is the same thing that may compel many of us to lower-- the seduction of the first white GT3's rolling off the truck.
