"The calm before the storm. Here's the car in a deserted little holiday home, just before all hell broke loose. We were making good time at this point... roughly halfway to Laerdal.
"We stopped because 10 minutes earlier I'd had a very scary slide around an icy corner. Companion Jon was heard to mutter, 'Did you mean to slide that all the way around there?' I was heard to reply, 'Not really, no', in the kind of tone that gets the message across that we just very nearly sprayed a Ferrari across the Norwegian countryside."
