    Thanks for the link. Meteor looks wicked with the black GT3 lettering on the engine lid.

    Anyone with more 2007 Meteor grey pics -- Post 'em please! I might spec Meteor for Sept build and I have to decide.

    thats luck!! But is it worth to switch only for the wide fenders and 4wd?

    I made the mistake of stopping at my dealer in the middle of winter and driving a C4S recently. Granted, the C4S is slightly less communicative and less tossable than my C2S, but to me the C4S feels more planted....unshakeable....like it's on rails.

    C4S exhibits none of the occasional front end 'bobbing' that I never much liked (which may be an inherent PASM characteristic(?), but there's no sign of it in the C4S; may also disqualify me as a 911 "purist" since the feather light front end is essence of 911). Strictly personal preference. Love the wider hips too, pure lust from a quarter-mile off. I'll get an extra set of snows and try to use it 10 months of the year-- well, we will see how that pans out, we get a LOT of snow in these parts.

    If that's really Meteor (does it say so somewhere?), then it seems considerably darker than both the Seal Grey it replaces and the Meteor Greys I've seen from the past.

    Sure it's not Slate?

    Good point, Silver Bullet. Come on, Porsche- out with it! give us some guidance here....as our respective countries' gross national product levels PLUMMET while we spend hours debating the nuances of grey paint pigment!

    Agree SB, it does look like it could be slate (seems unlikely that Porsche would produce a 'cheaper' meteor grey so close in color to slate), except for the pic below: Slate is dark enough that the black GT3 model logo under the rear wing would almost blend into the slate grey background.

    But the paint finish on the GT3 below looks lighter than slate & looks like more contrast with the black GT3 badge, fwiw..............ponderous!

    God that looks good. It still blows my mind on how they could get the GT3 and make it look and perform better than the last car. But they went so wrong on the TT.

    You're absolutely right. The success of Grigio has Porsche green with envy. While Grigio is a no cost option, Porsche will charge an extra $3,000.

    That Grigio is a gorgeous color. It's rich and complex - makes me think of sculpted molten metal.

    Porsche paint offerings are plain dull compared to what some other manufacturers feature. I didn't know Ferrari was one of them, but I've been very impressed with Audi and Nissan.

    The bottom picture looks more like the old Porsche colour Moccha Black, which was more brown. Maybe it's just the light?

    If Meteor, in real life, is anything like the illustrations, it's going straight to the top of my wish-list.

    Same color on both cars, the F430 is flooded in white light.

    Meteor grey looks about as dark as slate grey. IMHO not much distinction between them really. But they are both lovely colours.
