...Sad that they did not offer the GT4 as an open top....
You mean a Cayman GT4 convertible ??? Gottcha !
of course ....to be offered as a more affordable alternative to their current GT3 and GT3RS Cabriolets and Targas
on a more real world note ..the reason Porsche will not sell do a GTx Cabriolet model ( if they didnt care to damage the GTx brand they would build them as they would sell for $$$$ profit ) is because of their use of modernized but still old school chassis technology , and to use the exact GT3 and GT4 style suspension bits for their great " feel " in the hands and seat of the pants would probably require 100 lbs of stiffening in said more flexible chassis/ windshield header area but prob still be a shake , rattle and roll ride on everyday roads
cars with natively much stiffer for weight carbon fiber monocell chassis like Carrera GT , 918 Spyder , Enzo, La Ferrari and all McLarens can have their handling be tuned as " feelsome " and accurate as they like and still be offered in open top versions maintaining acceptable road ride quality
