Didn't anyone here get the RS yet? Where are the detailed driving reports and photos? 

Has this forum turned into a bunch of waiters? An endless comparison of useless numbers until the next greatest car is out? Speculation which car is more fun although no one has driven any of them? Maybe it is only me, but I would love to see more sharing of real life experiences and less "I like black wheels" and "I don't like black wheels"...

As for the GT4, it cannot be that I am the only one here since over two months!

Well, after a bit more than 3.000 km and laps on the Nordschleife and Spa yesterday, here is what I can say about this car: Great chassis and balance thanks to mid-engine concept, great exhaust/sound (love the auto blip function), performance level on track very close to 997.2 GT3 3.8 (I had one), engine output is OK but missing about 30 hp to keep up with 991 GT3s (but obviously wanted as such by Porsche   ), steel brakes robust on track as always with Porsche but factory brake pads too soft (tb replace by Endless or Dixcel), LWBS = must for the track and the best seats I have ever had (not uncomfortable on the road and perfect on the track).

All in all, a great car, especially for the money! My dilemma is now "should I sell it at the end of the season when my 991 GT3 RS arrives or keep it" since the GT4 is really a fun car and well suited for the evening ride on the road in the summer ;-)?...?

yesterday i had contact again with a german porsche dealer (in an 'official' porsche center) whom i dealt with before. i enquired about the possibility of buying a GT3 RS (if my F12 GTO order is not accepted by ferrari) and the answer was that he could get one for me if i was willing to also buy a panamera 'exclusive series'. after my insistence on why this condition the dealer explained to me that without the pana Porsche will not give him another quota for the GT3 RS. 

i politely rejected the offer.....funny isn't it?. in other countries they sell above list, in germany they 'force' an otherwise unsellable car at you as the icing on the cake...

i thought the same but i insisted on how come and why and this is not what porsche does usually but he did not relent. both or non, that was the final note.

Thanks for the report ..... but I hoped it would be about the RS 

KEEP the GT4 !!!!  It compliments the RS perfectly . I actually think one should not be allowed to own one and not the other

I think we have only one member who got delivery . At my Porsche center there has been no delivery yet . The 918 owner , is still waiting for his. Should not be long now . Next delivery is supposed to be mine ....... beginning of September   And note that my dealer got 12 allocations for this year , according to him the highest in CH

As I mentioned before, the Dealer in Beirut has 12 cars on order, but so far 6 car allocation.  I believe I'm number 5, I haven't decided on whether to take the car or not due to the lack of a track here and my current love for my 991 GT3 I've specced in Sapphire blue.  Its stupid to keep both cars and I have to choose between the two, I'm leaning towards keeping my current car.  I've been told that I can decided when the car arrives what to do on the condition that I don't order in UltraViolet as per my initial build, as they would have problems in Lebanon re selling that color.  Of the 12 on order 6 Lava, 3 White, 2 Silver, 1 UltraViolet (me).  I've changed my build to Lava, but I still have time to go back to UV if I'm 100% gonna take the car.

Your GT3 is special ..... but so is the RS . Which one feels more special to you ? and the lack of a track has it s importance . I could imagine using a Gt3 as a DD, but never an RS

I use my GT3 Daily, the color is special, the feel is special, and I definately don't need more performance from a car than what I currently have.  Its all about exclusivity and value, at first I thought the RS might have been a limited production run, hence my deposit.  I would have something truly limited, but not it seems my GT3 will be produced in less numbers...I'm still on the fence though, leaning mostly towards keeping my car and giving up my slot and taking back my deposit....below is a pic from last december when I took delivery...I have newer pics, but need to put them on my new laptop

My dealer in St. Gallen has already delivered the white car in the first few pictures to a customer 3 weeks ago. I will get final confirmation of my order next week hopefully with pts RS Green approved.

Last Friday I had the pleasure to spend an evening with Alex Hitzinger who raved about the car. The white one in the dark picture is actually a factory car he used to drive from Stuttgart to our venue that day.
