    It's all relative. The GT3 clutch forces have been about 60% heavier than manual 911s, IIRC.

    Drove one briefly too. Clutch is nowhere as heavy as my 997 GT3.

    Very tactile little car.

    To me it was a lot lighter than a 997.2 GT3/RS.  Not much heavier than my 987.2S

    nothing is near as heavy as 964 clutch, I use it as DD, and 2 to 3 times /month, i have problem with my forefoot for a day at least,but can I ignore and not driving it???,no way

    i don't think 987 clutch is heavy at all.  I had one for several yrs. if anything it's a tad too light.

    GT3 clutch, yes.  H-E-A-V-Y  but I got used to it very soon and it becomes a non-issue.  still annoying at stop start traffic and don't even think about it if you have a bad knee.

     

    I am just happy GT4 it's in between the two. indecision

    Anyway, exciting news. I got the call a couple of hours ago!!! Sept build, so Nov/Dec delivery. Woohoo! Just when I texted Derder to say I may just swap the GT4 order for a Spyder because we have heard nothing from the dealership, I get a call within a couple of hours. Derder, hope you get your call soon too!

    The cage is from Wiechers and it's the first they put inside a GT4 for Raeder/Manthey. Apparently it is road legal, the Porsche factory one, on the other hand, is not. Why this cage has a Porsche Motorsport sticker on it, I do not know.

    The seat is a Recaro Profi SPG from the looks of it.

    The Pole Position is about the same size as the Profi SPG. You can find the dimensions of the seats on Recaro's website. Unless I'm mistaken the OEM LWB is fitted on the passenger side.

    The cage looks welded though, so that might be a deal breaker. Not sure whether they are also offering a bolt-in version.

    " more faster " does not automatically equal  " more funner " ...a base Cayman owner may actually have more DRIVING fun than a GT4 owner if the latter is the type who is perpetually looking ahead to the " next thing out there " before the latest car is even broken in or just wants the latest shined up trophy to show off at Cars and Coffee, then quickly put away before raindrops dissolve it .

    It's all good, either way , in the big picture .

    at current rates of development, not to far in the future ,  supercars  will accelerate 0-150 mph in 8 seconds and with that,  manufacturers will require you to tap on the media screen to agree to absolve the automaker of liabilty from passing out at the wheel, torn aortic aneurysm, ruptured brain aneurysm or stroke, retinal detachment , etc., etc., since fit and trim racers or fighter pilots and flabby way out of shape chain smoking 300 lb diabetic 65 year olds , as drivers or passengers,  are very different real world health risks when using launch control in said vehicles !
