    The picture of that  'green' Spyder has been haunting me since I first saw it this morning.

    Reflects what I wished for on a GT4. Exquisite in my opinion.

         Thank you Duckie RS!  The  Irish Green Paint to Sample Spyder is indeed amazing . Someone ordered also a GT4 in Brewster Green which looks great.   I wished to order a PTS Spyder but was too late to the party as the window for PTS orders opened in July 15' for only few weeks.

    It was supposed to be a nice gesture for my wife (she loves cabs...) but she barely drove it and I ended up driving it all the time. Smiley Wasn't a bad experience but when people (incl. your own wife Smiley) tell you that a 911 fits you but a Boxster doesn't (I'm a little bit of a burly type of guy...) and when most Boxsters in the neighborhood are driven either by guys in their 30s and women, it gets you thinking. Smiley However, I have to admit that I always was a 911 guy and this never changed, so... Smiley

    The Spyder would be a different thing though, at some point I seriously considered one but without PDK, this is no car for me. No more manuals for me, the current arm injury I have reminded me again and again of the benefits of an automatic transmission. Smiley

       RC  I am also a 911 guy but I always enjoyed driving Boxsters (and Caymans too). Actually I did try to buy a 987 Spyder few years ago but when my wife was confronted with the cumbersome roof the deal fell apart .  This time around the roof execution is , luckily, less extreme. 

    It is a pity you can't enjoy manual transmission due to injury . Hope it will heal soonSmiley

    I just realized that my Spyder was delivered with the operating manual of the 718 . I guess Porsche ran out of Spyder user manuals laugh. Dealer did not notice that ( I am not surprised..).

    I thought you might have meant that, but I believe it used to be that the position of the thread for the towing eye was the same on all models, so that the bumper covers could be interchanged without the risk of the hole in the bumper cover not aligning properly with that thread?   Smiley

       I checked no 718 engine in it Smiley    A friend of mine had his Spyder delivered few days ago and he also received the 718 manual . Perhaps a  new marketing initiative by Porsche to promote the 718 ?   I was looking forward to learn how to operate the Spyder roof which is , obviously,  a part that is missing in the 718 manual.  If anyone has questions about the 718 will be glad to answerSmiley

    well, and again, lean-production-wise certainly a mystery, however, the PU fit the GTS and the S bumper support in general, the position of the towing eye of the GTS actually differs ... I couldn't believe it myself first ... actually, the whole situation turned out to be quite funny, as some  Porsche addicts offered their assistance, like "Hey, you little wally, banker, cayman driver, step aside and I show you how the hook is installed...Smiley", and failed as the thread was simply not there where it should be.

    But, back to the main topic, it seems that the Boxster Spyder manuals are even more limited in number than the actual number of cars produced. Smiley
