No, it doesn't. Actually, it sounds very similar to the 991 Turbo S but a bit raunchier.

i really like the design of the 488. i have only one issue with the GTB, just as with the 458 coupe: yesterday when i drove from vienna to the F1 track (200Km each way) i felt i was sitting in a super comfy mercedes and not in a sports car.....
i know it is my problem....
also, i had a chat with marc gene and asked him which one he would choose, speciale or 488. he said 488 unless it was only for occasional outings.
still, i am leaning the speciale way. siiiiggghhh, the F12 VS would be perfect but how to get on the list.....????? i am not going to buy another two ferraris (to own three) just to get the ticket.

The difference is much bigger than I thought initially.
If they would have made different shaped front lights it would look like an entire different car. Anyway - good thing - the 458 still looks sexy and doesn't loose its look over the 488! Both cars are adorable - well done Ferrari!
I like the front - you can clearly see the F1 shape in it.

today we had our test drive in the 488GTB on the hungaroring. we (12 ferraris) took off from vienna and drove out to budapest...quite a sight to behold for those we passed on the highway:::))))
after the introductory lap in our own cars (about fifty ferraris, see the first attached pic) on the track there were individual test drives with the 488, fifteen minutes each. so there is really nothing on the 488's performance that i can add which you don't know already. estethically i really like the car, even the side scoops. as far as i am concerned the weakest part is the rear end, which seems overly busy. they had cars in rosso met (too dark for my taste), rosso corsa (much better) and one in giallo modena with black roof (
). the sound: not bad for a turbo charged car, but nothing like the 458.
all in all, it is a tough decision between the 458 speciale and the 488GTB but in the end i shall opt for the 488.
